2024R-14 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF VERMILION TO EXECUTE AND FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE STATE OF OHIO FOR FINANCIAL AID ASSISTANCE UNDER THE NATUREWORKS GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, The State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, administers financial assistance for public recreation purposes, through the State of Ohio NatureWorks grant program and
WHEREAS, the City of Vermilion desires financial assistance under the NatureWorks Grant Program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERMILION, OHIO, ERIE COUNTY, OHIO:
SECTION 1: That the City of Vermilion approves filing this application for financial assistance.
SECTION 2: That Marc Weisenberger, Parks Operation Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute and file an application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and to provide all information and documentation required to become eligible for possible funding assistance.
SECTION 3: That the City of Vermilion does agree to obligate the funds required to satisfactorily complete the proposed project identified as the Showse Park Playground and become eligible for reimbursement under the terms of the NatureWorks Grant Program.
SECTION 4: This Council hereby finds and determines that all formal actions relative to the adoption of this Resolution were taken in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of Council, and of its committees, which result in the formal action, were taken in full compliance with the applicable legal requirements.
WHEREFORE, this resolution shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage by Council and approval by the mayor.
