All Port Authority docks and ramps are in the center of Vermilion's historic district and within easy walking distance of many quaint specialty shops, groceries, restaurants, overnight accommodations, public parks and the beaches.

Shores & Islands Ohio specializes in tourism and marketing in Erie & Ottawa County and are huge promoters of projects and events that increases the quality and visitor’s experience along Lake Erie.

The Port Authority received the 2025 Destination Development Grant which allowed us to upgrade the Vermilion Municipal Docks/Waterworks Marina by adding new picnic tables, shading umbrellas, and safety lattice around our iconic Pavilion.
