2024-59 CONTRACT FOR SRTS PHASE 2

2024-59 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF VERMILIION, OHIO TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH DLZ OF CLEVELAND, OHIO, BY AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES RELATED TO THE ERI-VERMILION SRTS FY2025 (SRTS PHASE 2) PROJECT, PRESCRIBING THAT DLZ SHALL BE PAID IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR  BID IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($102,360.00), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

           

WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to retain DLZ of Cleveland, Ohio for construction administration and construction inspection services for the ERI-Vermilion SRTS FY2025 (SRTS Phase 2) Project.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Vermilion, Counties of Erie and Lorain, State of Ohio:

 

SECTION 1: This Council hereby authorizes and directs the mayor of the City of Vermilion, Ohio to enter into a contract with DLZ of Cleveland, Ohio to perform construction administration and construction inspection services for the ERI-Vermilion SRTS FY2025 (SRTS Phase 2) Project in a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Two Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($102,360.00).

           

SECTION 2:  This Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were taken in an open meeting of this Council and that all deliberations of this Council and of any committees that resulted in those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with the law. 

 

SECTION 3: This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, the emergency being the necessity of authorizing engineering services in conjunction with proceeding with the ERI-Vermilion SRTS FY2025 (SRTS Phase 2) Project in 2024, thus for the public peace, health and safety of the City; wherefore, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval of the Mayor, providing it meets the statutory requirements for passage; otherwise, it shall take effect and be enforced from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
