Lifeguards
Applicants must be at least 15 years old
Pay range: 1st year $12.00 per hour
If returning, or with proof of previous experience, the rate increases .50 cents per year.
CPR certification/AED training
Lifeguard Certified
Rescue Skills/First Aid
Strong swimming skills
Treading water and underwater swimming
Completion of these programs is necessary to obtain certification and be eligible for employment as a lifeguard. The City of Vermilion will offer lifeguard training and the certifications listed above beginning in April.
