The responsibilities of the Street Department include:
- Maintain all streets within the City of Vermilion
- Snow removal
- Pothole repair
- Signs (excludes some state issued signage)
- Removal of debris
- Grass mowing
- Maintain catch basins
- Streetlight maintenance (harbor town area only)
