2023R-21 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SHORE STRUCTURE IN THE SUBMERGED LANDS, IN LAKE ERIE.

WHEREAS, a property owner of     PP# 18-02028.000     in the City of Vermilion has proposed to lease land in Lake Erie for the purpose of constructing the shore structure at the end of Perry Street in Vermilion, Erie County, Ohio, and                      

WHEREAS, as part of the application for construction of the structure and lease submerged land, the parties involved must submit to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources a resolution from the Vermilion City Council approving the proposed improvements of the submerged lands, now therefore;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VERMILION CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERMILION, STATE OF OHIO:

SECTION 1:  In review of the application, Vermilion City Council finds that the area of submerged lands in question is not needed by the local authority for future improvements and the land uses in the application comply with regulation of permissible land use of the local authority.

SECTION 2: That the City of Vermilion hereby authorizes and directs that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Christopher Williams, 5752 Lake Street, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.

SECTION 3: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees, which resulted in such formal actions, occurred in meetings open to the public and in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.

SECTION 4: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
