2025R-4 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE 2026 TAX BUDGET AND CERTIFYING IT TO THE COUNTY BUDGET COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, that the 2026 budget projection demonstrates the need for taxes that are assessed, and
WHEREAS, that this tax budget does not grant spending authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERMILION, COUNTY OF ERIE AND STATE OF OHIO:
SECTION 1: That the 2026 Tax Budget is hereby attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the County Budget Commission.
SECTION 3: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of the Council of the City of Vermilion concerning and relating to the adoption of this Resolution were taken in an open meeting of the Council of the City of Vermilion and that all deliberations of this City’s Council and any of its committees that resulted in those formal actions were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 4: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the mayor.
