Clean-Up Day

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are in need of volunteers for the following areas:

• Welcome Signs East (Near the highway, best without children)

         Painting signs and cleaning area around signs

• East entrance near Baumhart
• West entrance near Sherod
• South entrance near the schools

• Showse Park

• Pick up litter through park.
  
• Rake leaves in grassy areas
• Weed, edge, cultivate and mulch Sign Bed near the beach.
  
• Spread mulch in the sign beds.
  

• Victory Park (this may change depending on work being complete by Parks Department)

• Blow/Rake Leaves from Shrubs that line the sidewalks.
• Weed and spread wood chips RR observation deck.
• Rake leaves 
• Weed & mulch around trees.
• Weed & mulch bed around gazebo.
• Weed and mulch around water fountain.
• Weed and mulch beds east of Rose Garden ONLY
• Much dropped in tree lawn area near rose garden.

• Sherod Park:  

• Weed, edge, and mulch sign bed.
• Pick up litter and debris on beach and hillside on east and west sides of park.
• Pick up litter along creek bed.
• Cut and remove vines growing at base of trees along creek.
• Clean Beach
• Weed the exercise stations.

• Berkley Rd.

• Pick-up litter and mulch in the median near Drug Mart.  (This is an area near high traffic best without children)

• Shred Truck

• Helping to unload cars.

Other areas that may need attention depending on the work already complete by Vermilion in Bloom and the Parks Department.

• Friendship Park
• Police Department and Court House
• Exchange Park/East Exchange Park
• West Breeze Park Sign
• Boat Ramp Sign and area near West River
